It was supposed to be so simple. You couldn’t possibly screw it up. Dead easy, they said. Can’t miss. 

As is so often the case when you’re doing something for someone who didn’t want to do it themselves, however, it turned out to have more twists and turns than a plate of spaghetti. 

You think you survived it. But you keep wondering.
