Louisville has a crowded field of neighborhood/dive bars serving cheap drinks and great food.  This one happens to be next door to Bowman Field, America’s oldest continually operating commercial airfield---since 1921.  The bar was opened in 1934, it was then as now a cash only joint and coal-mine dark inside.  Amelia Earhart had a round or two here once upon a time—maybe this is where she learned her disappearing act...  By 4am you’ll be ready to disappear as well--whether you’ve learned anything or not. Regardless, say hello to Russell.  He owns the joint and makes a mean turkey sandwich—when he’s in the mood.
